Normally placed on the opposite side to where it may already be present a counter kicker, it constitutes an optimum solution whenever, wanting to install an electronic control equipment (for codes scanning, glue detection, etc.), the use of a kicker will permit to signal the "wrong" cartons, which will then have to be manually removed at the collection area, being the folder gluer machine:

• a small machine or a machine not having, in the trombone area, the sufficient room required for the installation of an automatic disc ejector;
• mainly dedicated to the production of large size cartons whose dimentions would result well superior to those admitted for the use of the automatic disc ejector;
• a production line with standard manual collection and, in the Company choice, the manual removal and verification of any signalled "wrong" cartons is to be preferred to automatic cartons ejection.

Provided with a bracketry which will permit exact high/depth adjustments, this kicker may be positioned in such a way to make use of its entire outstroke (25 mm) for heavy cartons or part of this outstroke by sliding back the kicker, on its bracketry, proportionally to the effect of the strike desired on the carton to kick.

Whenever the electronic control equipment, installed on the folder gluer machine, does foresee the automatic machine stop for missed ejection of a wrong carton, therefore requiring, to avoid machine stop, a signal which confirms that the kicker was indeed activated, this kicker is predisposed for the use of a photocell designed for this purpose.
