Run by microprocessor, it has been specifically designed to control the continuity and the regularity
of cold glues, on straight line compact cartons, deposited by the rotating disc of the lower glue pot
of a folder gluer machine. Sampling each 10mm of the glue flap at machine belt speed in excess of 450 metres/minute,
is capable to detect glue in defect as well as in excess of established tolerances.
This equipment, designed to stop production at each "error", can easily be connected to an error monitoring
unit (
EDI +
Ejector or
Eject Guard +
Ejector)
| Glue sensor |
A high resolution 12 mm diametre capacitive sensor.
|
| Type of cartons |
Straight line compact cartons only (200/800 gr/m2).
|
| Type of glue |
Cold glues (vinyls) deposited by lower glue pot disc.
|
| Sensor positioning |
Sensor installed at approx. 0,5 mm from surface of glue flap and on opposite side to where
glue is deposited (glue sensored through carton).
|
| Error condition |
The error condition is set off whenever a glue defect, of at least 10 mm is detected as:
- a reduction of glue mass superior to the set tolerances;
- excess of glue mass superior to the set tolerances;
- a gap of missing glue superior to 10 mm.
|
| Machine stop |
Programmable at the attainement of a number of consecutive errors comprised between
2 and 7 if the equipment is installed together with an "error" monitoring system.
|
| Ejection memory |
No available: this equipment, if installed on its own, will stop the folder gluer at each
1st error. Automatic ejection of wrongly glued cartons will require connection to an
EDI + Ejector
or Eject Guard + Ejector
